Members Social Night

The committee of Derby Magic Circle, decided to try and give more of a social element to their offerings for its members, and get more active involvement, in a relaxed environment, away from club and lecture nights.

So, we did just that, with a WhatsApp group created to try and manage improved communication and gauge how we would encourage member’s ideas, thoughts and questions to drive our first session. These may have been about a certain method, trick or feedback on whatever anyone had been working on.

On Wednesday 5^th August we had 14 of our members attend The Kings Corner Pub, and the relaxed atmosphere was so lovely to experience. Everyone got involved, and the freedom to ask any question was soon evident and the excitement grew rapidly. So much so we have had to note requests and ideas for the next meeting on the 2^nd September, again at the Kings Corner, Lime Lane, Oakwood, Derby, Derbyshire, DE21 4RF. Enjoy discounts on food and drinks. Yes, they have Hawkstone Ale among many other fine beverages.

Although this has initially started as a Derby Magic Circle Members social evening, if you are already studying magic and would like support, and to belong to the Magic community, but not yet a member, you are welcome to attend with the intention to audition for Derby Magic Circle in due course. As are any local magicians. We are a friendly society and willing to help any genuine potential future Magicians.
