John Morton Lecture

Award winning magician, mind-reader and hypnotist, John Morton has been creating moments of amazement for thousands of guests at weddings, private parties and corporate events for more than 12 years. The prestigious London Magic Circle awarded John - Associate Member of the Inner Magic Circle (AIMC) with silver star - the highest level possible to achieve when joining the club though magical examination. In March 2021 John successfully fooled magic legends Penn & Teller on their television program "Penn and Teller - Fool Us" winning not only the trophy, but also the opportunity to perform his magic in their show at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas. John also won "Close-Up Magician of the year" in 2021 at the Medway Magic Society's annual competition and is a past winner of both "The Best Entertainment in Lincolnshire" and "The Best Entertainment in Yorkshire" awards at the Wedding Industry Awards which is voted by the public. 

John lectured for us in October, 2021. He is now returning to Derby for his 2nd lecture. 

This time, John will be lecturing on his stage show, and why he chooses the effects he does. In addition to that, John will go over some bits that we missed in his first lecture.

Magicians Only. Past members and visiting magicians are very welcome at Derby Magic Circle, but there is a small fee of £10 payable on the night
